A nice flow of cold air now feeds the engine
Not loads done this month, apart from feeding my K&N some nice cold air courtesy of a Pipercross cold air feed. Pipercross offers a selection of sizes (50,65, 75 &100mm), I opted for the 65mm so it would fit nicely into the lower grille cover space. After a hole drilled here and there, the hose was fitted into place easily and looks and works cool.

Not quite as cool, but at least any more run-ins with the law wont be because of the licence plate now
Also this month, a kind gentleman dressed in blue informed me my number plates were not correct by the English law, being the wrong font, spaced incorrectly and made of metal. I should have known better! I knew these things but my plate was easily readable, clean and looked great, and as the officer guessed my name is Joe and yep I do drive a VW... Anyway, slapped with a £30 fine and a little telling off, I'd learned my lesson. Not wanting to cause more trouble I got onto the phone to my favourite spares shop, Motos in Kenley. A new set of plates were sorted, and doing things the right way I had to show proper ID (my driving licence) and logbook before the plates could be taken from the shop. Thanks to the guys down there; great service and very quick. So the plates don't look as good but I've had my fun with them, maybe it's time for the plate to go on eBay...?

After losing the plate, I decided to cheer myself up with an order to Samco hoses. The nine-hose set ordered in blue turned up the next day, thanks to Rhian. Cheers mate! More on this next month, along with hopefully getting the car on to the rolling road at AmD down in Thurrock. JM
